Job summary

Jobgether is hiring a senior software engineer in Brazil for a fully remote role. You will design, build, and operate distributed microservices in cloud environments using Golang or JVM languages, with strong emphasis on automation, testing, and API design.

You will own delivery from planning to production support, collaborate with product managers, and drive reliability and performance across services. Strong AWS, IaC, and container orchestration skills are required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering with production systems.
Strong experience with Golang or JVM languages.
Experience designing, building, and operating microservices in cloud environments.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex distributed production issues.
Solid knowledge of automated testing: unit, integration, performance, end-to-end.
Hands-on with AWS SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge for cloud-native apps.
Terraform and deployment automation tools; familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps.
Docker and Kubernetes in production; API design with Swagger/OpenAPI.
Relational and non-relational data modeling; observability practices.
Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and scalability discussions.
English proficiency at B1 or above; based in Brazil.
Experience in financial services/ payments is a plus; AWS certs and AI tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable services using Golang or JVM.
Own the software delivery lifecycle from planning to production support.
Evolve distributed microservices with focus on performance and reliability.
Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Provision and manage cloud infra with Terraform and IaC practices.
Build event-driven AWS services using SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge.
Monitor health, logs, metrics; assist in incident response and reliability.
Design and document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI for developers and external consumers.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions with teams.
Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into tech solutions.
