Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for its Future Hiring Program. This fully remote role is designed for candidates in Europe, with a Switzerland-based partner organization guiding next steps.

You will design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems using C#, .NET, and C++, leveraging PostgreSQL and cloud platforms like AWS/Azure. A senior engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact software in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial backend experience.
• Proficiency in multiple backend languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, or C++.
• Practical experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Relational databases knowledge: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Ability to contribute to technical design decisions and architectural discussions.
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD concepts.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services for reliability and performance.
• Implement modern backend architectures including microservices and distributed systems.
• Develop cloud-based applications on Azure and AWS.
• Manage and optimize relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Contribute to technical architecture and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Support deployment and integration through CI/CD pipelines.
