Job summary

The City of New York - Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to function as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Design secure, scalable AWS and Azure landing zones and network architectures to support DSS workloads.

Responsibilities include building IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep), collaborating with security teams to enforce controls, and ensuring governance, resiliency, and operational standards across cloud projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering or related field is required.
• Experience with datacenter and cloud infrastructure engineering is preferred.
• Ability to design secure, scalable cloud environments in AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design AWS and Azure landing zones and network architectures for DSS workloads.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning of cloud environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud security controls and compliance.
• Review designs for governance, resiliency, and operational standards.
• Monitor cloud platform health, performance, and capacity; guide migration efforts.
