Your Role:

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing SpringWorks' global cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud-Only organization, this role plays a crucial part in shaping SpringWorks's technological future while ensuring existing cloud systems are robust and secure. Reporting to the Sr Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations, this role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's networks, physical and cloud infrastructure, and manage related outsourced service providers.

This is the most senior and only internal role in the function, accountable for cloud infrastructure organization-wide. Responsibilities include establishing and administering the overall technical architectures and operational practices of these systems.

Location Classification – Remote:

Officially classified as full-time remote work within the United States or the relevant region, with occasional travel to SpringWorks offices or other locations as needed. #LI-Remote

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate leadership and partner management skills to ensure infrastructure services are delivered successfully, whether internally or via external vendors.
2. Ensure infrastructure service delivery teams understand how to balance speed, quality, and cost, connecting business stakeholders with broader IT services, and ensuring value throughout the investment lifecycle.
3. Communicate successes and issues accurately and effectively, taking accountability for managing expectations with business leaders.
4. Operate formal governance mechanisms to establish and monitor controls for infrastructure team processes and functions.
5. Provide strategic direction and oversight for the full lifecycle of infrastructure systems, collaborating with peers and identifying opportunities for shared solutions to improve efficiency.
6. Develop infrastructure sourcing and support strategies, providing executive oversight for vendor and partner relationships.
7. Develop IT policies and procedures supporting a scalable, secure IT environment.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including SOX, GxP, and GDPR.
9. Oversee Azure and AWS cloud operations, optimizing performance, cost, and security.
10. Develop and implement strategies for Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including administration and support.
11. Own the technical architecture and strategic decisions related to IT infrastructure, aligning with business objectives.
12. Design infrastructure systems with a focus on security, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
13. Create and maintain a strategy and roadmap for Azure cloud services and governance, leading their implementation.
14. Implement security best practices for IT resources, including access management and network security.
15. Manage physical IT infrastructure, including networking, compute, AV, and access control, ensuring best practices and security.
16. Design and operate network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, in partnership with vendors.
17. Collaborate with other IT leaders and stakeholders to align infrastructure initiatives with business strategy.
18. Implement enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to reduce operational risks.
19. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
20. Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system efficiency and performance.
21. Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, optimizing resources and costs.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
• Experience with ISO 27001 certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of relevant IT experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with a Master's degree.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including planning, architecture, and cost estimation.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of networking in Azure, AWS, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco ISE.
• Familiarity with zero-trust security architectures and cloud-only technology architectures.
• Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM.
• Broad understanding of modern computing, systems, networks, data management, security, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework.
• Demonstrate empathy and humility, embodying SpringWorks values, and taking ownership and accountability.
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range is $125,000 - $165,000, based on experience and other factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.
