Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Open to remote)

Penguin Random House is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to be part of the Client Systems Team working to maintain, design, and engineer enterprise-grade solutions for the world's leading trade-book publisher’s IT department. The Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is a result-driven technical engineer who leverages SaaS and Cloud-based technologies to solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing and supporting Azure Operations team process integrations with the customer’s broader Enterprise IT cloud management ecosystem.
• Governing multi-cloud IT projects leveraging Azure RBAC, AWS IAM, and virtual networking.
• Collaborating with Service Delivery, Engineering, IT Security, Architecture, Data Warehousing, and Development Teams.
• Assisting with Client Systems Design Team projects and providing escalation support as needed.
• Maintaining documentation, conducting team knowledge transfer sessions, and peer-reviewing designs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years' experience in a hybrid global Microsoft enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with Azure and M365 services including Azure OpenAI, AI & ML Studios, CoPilot, Power Platform, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation Account & Runbooks.
• Experience creating and using PowerShell and Python scripts, REST APIs, and OIDC/Okta authentications.
• Understanding of virtualization, containerization, auto-scaling, with experience in GIT, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, building fault-tolerant and automated systems.
• Ability to work independently, be self-driven, and eager to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Additional skills:

• Solution engineering using cloud platforms and SaaS products.
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, SSL, firewall concepts.
• Understanding of IT Change Management processes.

• Salary range: $115,000 - $140,000, with potential bonuses.
