OnTrac is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead IaC modernization and cloud architecture. You will partner with development teams to automate infrastructure, standardize Terraform modules, and drive secure, scalable cloud foundations in GCP and Azure DevOps.

The role emphasizes mentorship, governance, and a pragmatic balance between containers and VMs, with a strong Linux foundation in a remote-capable setup across eligible states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure & Systems Engineering with Terraform/IaC focus.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform including module libraries and state management.
• Hands-on experience managing Google Cloud (GCP) environments and Shared VPCs.
• Proven experience building automated IaC pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with Ansible to complement Terraform provisioning.
• Strong containerization knowledge (GKE/Kubernetes vs. VMs) and Linux skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and modernize the global Terraform ecosystem with reusable modules.
• Build Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure releases with testing and checks.
• Design resilient GCP foundations defined purely by code and IAM controls.
• Mentor and govern IaC standards with code reviews and documentation.
• Plan compute and container strategy, balancing containers vs VMs.
• Define system health, observability, and on-call resilience standards.
