Job summary

TENICA is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer for the Chantilly, VA area to lead design, deployment, and modernization of secure cloud environments supporting mission-critical requirements. Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Strong technical leadership in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or enterprise system integration.
• Experience implementing cloud automation and IaC solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure architecture, networking, security controls, and system administration principles.
• Experience supporting cloud maintenance, performance optimization, and operational troubleshooting.
• Understanding of secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise cloud environments.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the design, deployment, security, modernization, and sustainment of cloud environments.
• Lead implementation, configuration, and integration of cloud infrastructure for secure, scalable operations.
• Develop and implement automation solutions and IaC to streamline provisioning and config management.
• Oversee cloud maintenance, performance optimization, and modernization initiatives.
• Establish and maintain cloud security configurations, access controls, and compliance practices.
• Evaluate cloud performance, availability, reliability, and resource utilization for improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with system engineers, cybersecurity teams, developers, and stakeholders to integrate services.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture docs, procedures, and support materials.
• Provide guidance to government stakeholders on cloud capabilities and modernization opportunities.
