Job summary

VulnCheck is hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale the platform’s infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will own critical systems end-to-end, drive DevOps and SRE practices, and ensure security, scalability, and high availability across production.

This 100% remote role prefers candidates in the United States (MA / Austin TX / MD) and emphasizes automated, durable solutions with strong collaboration across Product and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and scaling cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE systems.
• Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform / CloudFormation).
• Distributed systems and microservices architectures experience.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes) expertise.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation development.
• Ability to debug and optimize production systems, including on-call ownership.
• Strong ownership mindset and collaborative communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Own infrastructure end-to-end: architecture, provisioning, deployment, operation.
• Lead technical design discussions and shape infra and platform decisions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation for velocity.
• Debug production issues and implement scalable, long-term fixes.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency.
• Define and drive SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, incident response, postmortems.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver features.
• Manage on-call rotations and operational readiness.
