Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an engineer to build and scale the OWL platform, processing trillions of events daily. You will work on Go and Python backends, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and distributed systems, collaborating across time zones in a remote team.

You will contribute to data infrastructure, tooling, and production-grade experiments, with a focus on performance, reliability, and impact on cybersecurity at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience.
• Experience with Go or other backend languages (Python, Rust, C++) for building web services and pipelines.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, ElasticSearch).
• Understanding of messaging/queueing systems; Kafka is a plus.
• Linux skills and cloud environments (AWS) experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative development environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OverWatch engineers to build, deploy, and maintain systems and tools.
• Extend existing components and develop new ones to improve analysis and hunting.
• Bring research projects into production and integrate with OWL systems.
• Work in a DevOps environment with on-call responsibilities.
• Take ownership of deliverables and strive for quality through tooling and processes.
• Contribute to open source and work with distributed remote teams across time zones.
