Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a distributed systems engineer to help scale the OverWatch Labs platform. You will work on building data infrastructure and tooling that processes trillions of events daily.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, robust software engineering, and a strong focus on scalable cloud-native architectures. Ideal candidates have experience with Go or similar languages, AWS, and modern data stores.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science (or commensurate experience).
• Experience with Go or another language for developing web backends and pipelines or compiled languages like Rust or C++.
• Built web-services with data processing pipelines and databases (Relational and NoSQL).
• Understanding of messaging/queueing, Kafka experience helpful but not required.
• Linux skills and experience with large-scale Linux environments.
• Understanding of distributed systems and AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OverWatch engineering to build, develop, and maintain operational systems, projects, and tools.
• Build new components and extend the current system to improve analysis and hunting capabilities.
• Bring research projects into production environments and integrate them with OWL systems.
• Work in a DevOps environment with an on-call rota and take ownership of deliverables.
• Pursue quality with appropriate tools and processes to raise the team’s standards.
