Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, build, and operate our AWS-based infrastructure powering a broker-dealer platform. You will own critical domains end-to-end, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability while shaping infrastructure strategy in a rapidly evolving AI-enabled environment.

The role is hybrid, with three onsite days per week in Culver City or San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with deep, production-proven expertise in AWS.
• Strong Linux systems engineering skills and scripting proficiency.
• Expertise with Terraform, IaC standards, and Kubernetes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate production AWS infrastructure for high-availability workloads.
• Lead EKS platform strategy, including upgrades and governance.
• Design CI/CD improvements to enable fast, safe deployments for multiple services.
• Define security architecture standards across AWS environments (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager).
• Own networking architecture, including VPC, Transit Gateway, and DNS patterns.
