Job summary

Alchemy is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize the platform powering our blockchain developer ecosystem. You will lead scalable, multi-region infrastructure with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native tools, while enabling AI-driven workflows and internal tooling for faster, safer deployments.

The role emphasizes reliability (SRE/Production/Platform), incident leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with security and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an Infrastructure Engineer focused on reliability (SRE/Production/Platform)
• Experience driving company-wide reliability efforts with SLOs and error budgets
• Strong observability stack expertise: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
• Deep cloud infra experience (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, multi-region architectures
• Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD) with automation-first mindset
• Experience using agentic development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and workflow automation (n8n) to accelerate IaC
• Solid networking fundamentals: VPCs, DNS, IPAM, security groups, cross-cloud connectivity, Istio a plus
• Calm incident responder focused on systemic improvement
• Strong cross-functional communicator across SRE, security, and product engineering
• Blockchain infra, distributed systems, or high-throughput RPC experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate scalable, self-healing infrastructure across multi-region deployments
• Drive AI enablement across engineering for agentic development tools and workflows
• Build AI-powered infrastructure tooling and automation for upgrades, cost optimization, and IaC analysis
• Develop internal developer platform capabilities for self-service deployments, observability, and reliability
• Develop observability frameworks using Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and dashboards
• Lead incident management with blameless post-mortems; define SLIs and SLOs cross-services
• Design and manage multi-cloud, multi-region network architecture (VPC, DNS, edge-gateway)
• Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance into IaC scanning and runtime protection
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to elevate the team's operational capabilities
