Job summary

Rational Dynamics is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Berkeley to design, build, and operate production cloud platforms across AWS and GCP, delivering to client deployments. You will own infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security controls to meet rigorous compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and running production cloud infrastructure, 5+ at Senior level.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and both.
• Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD, with GitOps practices.
• Security-focused with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage cloud platforms across client AWS/GCP environments.
• Own infrastructure as code, Terraform, and GitOps delivery.
• Run research platform workloads, including GPU compute and storage.
• Build CI/CD, observability, and alerting for reliability.
• Prototype and harden production systems for client deployments.
• Share security/compliance evidence through platform operation.
• Contribute to platform development, MLOps, and internal tooling.
• Track reliability, uptime, and cost with stakeholder collaboration.
