Job summary

Cerebras Systems in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the AWS infrastructure powering Cerebras' AI platform. This hands-on, high-ownership role pairs infrastructure engineering with reliability to keep production fast, secure, and scalable.

You will architect multi-account AWS systems, drive Terraform and GitOps, and partner with engineering teams to ensure resilient, observable cloud workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, SRE or DevOps with a strong software foundation.
• Deep hands-on AWS expertise; multi-region, multi-account environments.
• Expert-level Terraform; Atlantis or similar GitOps workflows.
• Strong Python/Go programming for automation.
• Kubernetes (EKS) cluster lifecycle and networking experience.
• Deep AWS networking knowledge (VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
• IAM at scale with OIDC federation and least-privilege policies.
• Experience deploying AI-assisted automation for triage or ops workflows.
• Proven incident command experience with postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate core AWS infrastructure (VPCs, EKS/ECS, IAM, networking, data services).
• Own reliability posture: define SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, and incident response.
• Build and maintain IaC with Terraform and GitOps to eliminate manual provisioning.
• Design multi-account AWS organization strategies for security and cost governance.
• Instrument observability with metrics, tracing, alerting, and cost visibility (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and platform teams on cloud security architecture and identity federation.
• Evaluate AWS-native and third-party tools to improve developer experience and efficiency.
