Job summary

Level AI is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure and developer platform that powers Level products. You will own the Kubernetes platform, IaC, CI/CD, and networking, delivering reliable, self-service foundations for engineering teams.

You will help drive reliability, performance, and cost decisions, mentor peers, and push platform standards across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating large-scale cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Deep IaC experience (Terraform/OpenTofu; CloudFormation/Pulumi/CDK also relevant)
• Strong Docker/Kubernetes production experience
• Scripting/automation (Python, Go, or Bash)
• Solid cloud networking fundamentals and security best practices
• Proven CI/CD and GitOps experience
• Observability experience used to drive decisions
• Track record leading infra projects end-to-end
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps (Atlantis).
• Operate and evolve EKS, autoscaling, upgrades, and Helm-based delivery (ArgoCD).
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for fast, safe releases with self-service tooling where relevant.
• Own ingress/egress, service mesh, TLS, DNS, and routing (Route 53, Terraform-managed).
• Develop observability using OpenTelemetry and SigNoz to drive reliability and cost decisions.
• Apply cloud security best practices across identity, secrets, and network boundaries.
• Mentor engineers and raise platform standards.
