Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, build, secure, and scale the infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform. The role is remote but requires residency in eligible US states; you will split time across cloud engineering, systems administration, and operational support on a small, high-ownership team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration with 3+ years in production AWS.
• Strong Python development for automation and AWS integrations.
• Expert-level Linux administration and Windows Server administration.
• Deep AWS experience: EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, security.
• Experience with on-prem Nutanix Prism Element/Central and Windows Server environments.
• Automation scripting with Python, PowerShell, and Bash; AWS Systems Manager.
• SSL/TLS certificate management and SSL renewal automation across IIS and Linux.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and CI/CD support.
• Serve as Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, troubleshooting.
• Administer Windows Server environment (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and in EC2.
• Administer Nutanix on-premises (Prism Element/Central), capacity planning, upgrades.
• Automate config and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and SSM.
• Own SSL/TLS cert renewals and install across IIS, Linux, Postfix, AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerts; participate in on-call; HITRUST and SOC2 compliance.
