Job summary

Global Payments seeks a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and automate cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, primarily supporting Global Payments’ platforms.

You will drive automation, implement security policies, and mentor the team while collaborating with product and applications teams to deliver reliable, scalable cloud services. The role requires 5–7 years in IT, hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins and Harness, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Design/operate in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5–7 years in systems administration or engineering.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise and CI/CD (Jenkins, Harness).
• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS and Group Policy.
• Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter and VDIs.
• Automation orchestration across lifecycles.
• Understanding of configuration management and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize cloud infra in AWS and Azure.
• Automate provisioning, hardening, and firewall rules.
• Collaborate with business, product, and applications teams.
• Maintain installation/configuration procedures and automate them.
• Mentor teammates and share tooling knowledge.
