Job summary

Global Payments seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Express team and shape the future of global commerce. This hybrid role will involve designing features, mentoring teammates, and aligning architecture with scalable cloud services.

You will work with Product, Architects, DevOps, and Agile teams to deliver high-quality software on Azure and AWS, using .NET 6+ and containerized workloads for resilient, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
• 7+ years delivering software solutions and 4+ years in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise apps.
• Hands-on Kafka experience and understanding of business drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical designs of new features and services, including investigations, code analysis, testing and release.
• Collaborate with Product Management, ARTs, Architects, DevOps, etc. to select best solutions.
• Assist with live system issue investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Attend SAFe/Agile ceremonies.
• Assess impacts of architectural choices on security, availability, performance, maintainability, scalability.
• Interacts with product managers/users to define system requirements and modifications.
