Job summary

Global Payments in Atlanta seeks a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize and automate cloud infrastructure supporting global platforms and hybrid solutions.

You will lead architectures in AWS and Azure, implement automation, and work with product, applications teams and management to ensure secure, scalable services. The role requires 5-7 years of IT experience, strong IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and proficient scripting (PowerShell/Python) on Linux and Windows Server, with CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent/work experience.
• Design/operations in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5-7 years of IT engineering experience.
• GitHub Enterprise and CI/CD (Jenkins, Harness).
• IaC with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python.
• Linux and Windows Server administration knowledge.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy expertise.
• VMware ESXi/vCenter knowledge and VDIs.
• Automation orchestration across lifecycle environments.
• Configuration management and deployment principles.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement cloud designs in AWS/Azure for hybrid solutions.
• Support automated provisioning, hardening, and firewall rules.
• Collaborate with business owners, product and apps teams.
• Maintain installation/config procedures and drive automation.
• Provide cross-training and share tooling knowledge.
• Establish and enforce technical policies and procedures.
• Drive security/compliance for managed systems.
• Improve stability and availability of infrastructure services.
• Coordinate with project managers on progress and solutions.
