Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize and automate cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including hybrid solutions. You’ll automate provisioning, hardening and firewall policies, while mentoring teammates and maintaining deployment procedures.

The role requires 5–7 years of IT infra experience, strong IaC (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python) and solid Linux/Windows server skills, with a focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience.
• Design and operations experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5-7 years of IT/infrastructure experience in design, engineering or admin.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure with hybrid solutions.
• Automate build, provisioning, hardening and firewall policies.
• Own engineering efforts across multiple projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain install/config procedures and drive automation.
• Mentor teammates and share tool knowledge.
• Enforce technical policies, procedures and security controls.
• Improve stability and availability of infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with project managers on progress and solutions.
