Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and support cloud platforms in AWS/Azure and hybrid environments.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python to improve automation, security, and availability, while mentoring team members and collaborating with product and applications teams. The role emphasizes operational excellence, on-call readiness, and adherence to technical policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Design and operations experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5-7 years of IT infrastructure experience including automation.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD (Jenkins, Harness).
• Strong IaC and scripting with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure and hybrid setups.
• Automate provisioning, hardening, and deployment processes and policies.
• Collaborate with product and applications teams on engineering projects.
• Maintain installation and configuration procedures and drive automation.
• Mentor teammates and share tool knowledge to reduce single points of failure.
• Support security, compliance, and availability improvements across platforms.
• Work with project managers on progress, issues and solutions.
