Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer to own the lifecycle of our AWS-based systems, drive vulnerability remediation, and optimize resource usage for performance and cost efficiency.

You will automate operations, assist in incident response, and ensure security compliance across multi-account environments. Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and hands-on experience with SSM, Terraform, Atlantis, Kubernetes, Datadog and CloudWatch are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with core AWS services and multi-account environments.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale patching programs and major OS/middleware upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Proficiency with SSM, Terraform, Atlantis, and Kubernetes for configuration management and automation.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python or similar scripting to automate operational workflows.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and hardening cloud infrastructure.
• Experience using Datadog, CloudWatch or similar tools for monitoring and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of AWS infrastructure for high availability.
• Collaborate with Security Team for vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Continuously optimize AWS resources for performance, reliability and cost-efficiency.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and fleet-wide patching.
• Provide incident response and troubleshooting for infrastructure issues.
• Build and maintain systems to meet strict security standards and compliance.
