Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure focused on AWS.

You will automate provisioning with Terraform and CI/CD, manage EKS, transit gateway, direct connect, monitor with CloudWatch and Grafana, and ensure security with GuardDuty. Join a fast‑paced Agile team delivering compliant cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with core AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route53, EKS).
• Experience designing and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC and automation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh.
• Ability to script in Python and Shell for automation.
• Experience with monitoring (CloudWatch, Grafana, OTEL) and security tooling (GuardDuty, Security Hub).

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infra on AWS.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build end-to-end pipelines using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Networking: Configure AWS Transit Gateway and Direct Connect for hybrid connectivity.
• Containerization: Administer workloads on EKS; utilize Istio for traffic control and security.
• Monitoring: Implement CloudWatch, Grafana, and OTEL for proactive alerts.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices; patching and vulnerability remediation with AWS tools.
• Collaboration: Work with development and operations teams to deliver reliable infra.
• Scripting & Development: Write Python and Shell scripts to automate tasks.
