Job summary

Datadog is seeking an Implementation Architect to lead the technical roadmap and guide customers through Datadog deployments. You will design architectures, coordinate onboarding sessions, and write deployment automation while managing project execution.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, container orchestration, configuration management, and CI/CD tooling, plus 5+ years in an architect/consulting capacity. Hybrid work with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering technical solutions for DevOps Monitoring or architecture systems.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and compute technologies (EC2, serverless, VMware, VMs, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Config Management, IAC and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines).
• Experience programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, or .NET.
• Background in security operations, including SOC management, SIEM tooling, and zero-trust networking architectures.
• 5+ years as an Architect or Consultant in a professional services team.

Responsibilities

• Design and guide execution of Datadog implementations, including gathering requirements, building technical architecture, and supporting deployment and launch.
• Guide customer onboarding through co-development sessions and assist when they run into roadblocks.
• Write automation and design deployment templates.
• Manage the operation of implementation projects.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Sales to deliver an onboarding experience.
