Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure leader to bridge cloud strategy with hands-on delivery for complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments in the United States.

You will optimize large cloud footprints, design operating models, and lead migration roadmaps while guiding clients through vendor strategies, cost governance, and security in regulated settings. Travel up to 80% is expected in this senior role.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of professional cloud infrastructure leadership experience.
• Led enterprise migration programs (500+ workloads).
• Security requirements in regulated environments (FedRAMP, IL, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Federal cloud experience preferred; substitution possible with deep transformation in regulated industries.
• Bachelor's degree; cloud certifications strongly preferred; travel up to 80%.
• Full-time, contract, and project-based engagements available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical advisor on cloud strategy and hybrid engagements.
• Lead workload rationalization and classification for rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or retirement.
• Design hybrid/multi-cloud target architectures across environments.
• Develop migration roadmaps with decommission gating for on-premise retirement.
• Advise on multi-vendor cloud strategy, lock-in mitigation, and contract terms.
• Support practice development through training, content creation, and people development.
