Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Cloud Hardware Development Engineer within the Cloud AI/ML/storage server teams to own and lead server product design across partners. You will collaborate with customers to shape technical needs and align with multiple teams to deploy scalable solutions at scale.

You will guide an interdisciplinary group of engineers from hardware, firmware, and manufacturing, ensuring quality and performance while meeting cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering.
• 5+ years in design/innovation, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Experience leading process improvement and project management.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• Expertise in server technologies: Thermal/Mechanical design, high-speed bus, signals integrity, BIOS, BMC, networking.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutions for complex storage and accelerator server architectures.
• Own end-to-end system reliability, identifying and fixing issues before impact.
• Design and implement scalable solutions for large-scale systems.
• Decompose server problems into deliverable tasks and features.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, supply chain and product teams.
• Develop diagnostic tools and monitoring for production servers.
• Oversee post-launch fleet performance and quality.
