Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering is seeking a seasoned Server Hardware Engineer in Denver to own the design and development of server products, coordinating with cross-functional teams to bring systems from concept to data-center deployment.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams including component, firmware, test, qualification, and integration engineers, ensuring reliability, performance, and cost objectives while partnering with customers and product management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in server technologies or related experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams or tech leads.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutions for complex storage and/or accelerator server and rack system architectural challenges.
• Own end-to-end system reliability, proactively identifying and resolving deficiencies before customer impact.
• Design and implement solutions to address system-level issues at large scale.
• Decompose complex server system problems into deliverable tasks and features.
• Apply expertise across hardware, software, system design, x86 architecture, processes, and operations.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, supply chain and product management teams.
• Develop and implement diagnostic tools and monitoring solutions for production systems.
• Debug complex system failures in time-sensitive settings.
