Job summary

OfferUp is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Engineering team in Bellevue, WA. You will build scalable cloud infrastructure as code and own the Kubernetes & GitOps platform across multi-account environments.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, observability, security, and cost optimizations while mentoring engineers and shaping architectural standards for the backend services.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud infrastructure as code with AWS/GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps platforms (EKS/GKE).
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions) and monorepo tooling.
• Ability to plan migrations with observability, data-store and multi-account scope.
• Strong security focus and cost optimization practices.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud infrastructure as code across AWS and GCP with Terraform.
• Own our Kubernetes & GitOps platform (EKS/GKE, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows (GitHub Actions, Artifactory).
• Lead platform migrations end-to-end with rollback strategies.
• Drive operational excellence & security, including on-call and CVE remediation.
