Job summary

Uber's Compute team in Seattle is seeking a senior engineer to design and scale a cloud-native compute platform used across Uber's product teams. You will own end-to-end systems for orchestration, monitoring, and frameworks, driving reliability at global scale.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and collaborate with cloud providers, while prioritizing performance, security, and graceful degradation under heavy load.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building scalable, fault-tolerant platforms in the cloud.
• Proficiency in Go, C/C++ or Java and setting standards across teams.
• Proven leadership of large-scale engineering projects through lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end systems for orchestration and monitoring at massive scale.
• Provide deep technical mentorship across the stack and ensure robust, secure architectures.
• Lead and mentor engineers, review code and designs, balance AI-first with quality.
