Job summary
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to drive configuration and operation of UCSF cloud infrastructure services onsite in San Francisco. You will coordinate with developers, engineers, business partners, and university stakeholders to provide best-in-class cloud services and automation.
The role focuses on configuring workloads, automating maintenance, and building monitoring capabilities to keep UCSF IT infrastructure secure, operable, and efficient
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field.
- 5+ years of IT/engineering experience in related fields.
- Associate-level cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP) or equivalent.
- Experience migrating on-prem workloads to cloud environments.
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
- DevOps practices including automation and IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
- Strong APIs integration with cloud data providers; Linux/Windows; Kubernetes.
