Job summary

Accurate Background is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure in Irvine, CA. You will collaborate with Cloud Operations, Security, DevOps, and application teams to enable reliable software delivery and compliant platform standards.

Lead Terraform-based IaC, manage Amazon EKS clusters, Docker containers, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform IaC.
• Hands-on Kubernetes platforms, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, GitOps, and IaC practices.
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience supporting highly available production cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Engine­er and manage containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence across production environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, creating reusable modules, automation frameworks, and standardized deployment patterns that improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related DevOps tools to enable automated testing, security validation, deployment, and release management.
• Architect and support AWS networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Route 53, VPN connectivity, and load balancing services to ensure secure and resilient connectivity.
• Implement cloud security controls, governance standards, and compliance requirements through IAM, AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud platform reliability through observability, incident response, root cause analysis, disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and operational automation.
• Collaborate with Application Development, DevOps, Security, Database, and Cloud Operations teams to deliver cloud solutions, support modernization initiatives, establish engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement across the cloud platform.
