Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead a multi-year cloud transformation migrating mission-critical applications from on-prem to AWS. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have hands-on AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, Docker, and Linux, plus CI/CD and security/compliance expertise (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC). You will collaborate across Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams and participate in a 24/7 on-call

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering/DevOps/Platform Engineering or related infrastructure roles.
3+ years hands-on AWS experience.
Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and KMS.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably AWS EKS.
Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Linux administration.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mature DevOps practices.
Current AWS or comparable cloud certification.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, KMS).
Support migration of mission-critical apps/data from on-prem to AWS.
Build and maintain IaC using Terraform.
Deploy and support containerized environments with Kubernetes/EKS and Docker.
Integrate cloud deployments with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Implement cloud security and compliance controls (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC).
Ensure highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure and disaster recovery.
Develop and maintain monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk.
Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams; participate in audits.
