Job summary

AMH is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in Las Vegas, NV to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and automation workflows. You will work with IT peers to ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and OCI.

The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and incident response, with opportunities to influence architecture and standards. Compensation includes performance bonuses and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 4+ years in Cloud Engineering, Software/Network Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced in documenting infrastructure and setting standards and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), cloud strategy, design, architecture, and migration.
• Advanced knowledge with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced knowledge with troubleshooting line-of-business applications, incident, problem and change management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of leading and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services; select cloud services and develop automation scripts.
• Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing apps to modern cloud services.
• Monitor performance and optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and high availability.
• Design, implement and support monitoring and observability for cloud resources.
• Troubleshoot issues and respond to outages as part of incident management.
• Assist in design and architecture of new solutions including networking and systems enhancements.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies; protect data and applications from threats.
• Document environment architecture, train team members, and create SOPs.
