Job summary

AMH in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead the research, testing, deployment, and optimization of security products and services with strong cloud security and risk management focus. You will design secure operating systems, networks, and databases, and conduct vulnerability scans and intrusion detection.

Responsibilities include managing security incidents, performing root-cause analyses, mentoring junior staff, and delivering security controls and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience in IT Security.
• Minimum three years of experience in Cloud Technologies.
• Experience in managing SIEM solutions.
• Experience in endpoint and email security solutions.
• Experience in Security incident management and reporting.
• CISSP, SecurityX (CASP+), or GCIH preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time and ticket management skills.

Responsibilities

• Researches, tests, implements, optimizes, and maintains new security products and services to address future and current threats. Defines security controls and best practices.
• Develops, maintains, and supports IT Security Framework processes such as incident management, cloud risk management, and cloud security.
• Acts as escalation path to Security issues and leads forensic investigations.
• Identifies and investigates actual or potential information security violations; writes reports and performs root cause analysis.
• Participates in application and infrastructure projects to provide security planning and implementation.
• Develops dashboards and metrics including incident reporting and risk management.
