Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer/Architect (Full-Stack and AI) to design and deploy enterprise-scale AI-enabled data processing and visualization platforms. You will own components across hybrid, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure GovCloud) and collaborate with government stakeholders on scalable microservices and secure APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive professional software engineering experience designing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Python, Java, C#, or C/C++, with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and monitoring cloud-native applications in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of distributed systems design, microservices architecture, secure API development, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable, fault-tolerant cloud architectures and microservices across AWS and Azure GovCloud/commercial (GovCloud).
• Lead end-to-end development of backend services, RESTful APIs, and modern web UIs for data visualization.
• Integrate AI/ML workflows and Large Language Models into data pipelines.
• Build and maintain high-throughput data processing workflows and distributed messaging pipelines.
• Collaborate on software vulnerability assessments, secure data handling, and tooling development.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and secure CI/CD across secure environments.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural reviews, interfacing with federal stakeholders.
