Job summary

KBR's MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test team seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead deployment of microservices in Kubernetes and to implement secure CI/CD pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments.

You'll collaborate with developers and security teams to apply Zero Trust principles, automate vulnerability management, and stand up agile DevOps practices that shape the resilience of national security systems.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance ability required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• 5+ years of DevOps software development and infra design.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• CI/CD pipelines with security scanning; container image scanning.

Responsibilities

• Lead release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS).
• Design and implement vulnerability management, security monitoring, compliance controls, and incident response automation.
• Work with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Deploy DevOps practices for automating software engineering across multiple projects.
• Ensure solid foundational processes; decisions impact the entire software team.
• Interact with stakeholders to capture evolving requirements and identify key tech patterns.
• Stand up agile development teams and oversee DevOps pipelines in on-prem and cloud.
