Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines supporting multi-environment software delivery. You will write and maintain Terraform modules to provision scalable cloud infrastructure and integrate security, testing and monitoring.

The role requires 8+ years IT experience, Terraform expertise, GitLab CI/CD know-how and a US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; additional 4 years accepted in lieu of degree.
• 8 years of IT experience and hands-on Terraform.
• Understanding of IaC concepts, cloud architecture and Git-based workflows.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Experience building pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and optimizing for containerized apps.
• Knowledge of artifact management and AWS cloud certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication; US citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
• Automate workflows, improve productivity and ensure reliable software releases.
• Write, review and maintain Terraform modules for scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Configure GitLab Runners, manage environment variables and secrets.
• Monitor pipeline performance and resolve failures or misconfigurations.
• Ensure security, compliance and traceability in every pipeline.
