Job summary

Cognizant's IoT Practice in Michigan seeks a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC tooling.

You’ll drive automation, CI/CD, and cross-functional collaboration, while ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency across environments. The role demands leadership in DevOps practices and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, PE or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years with AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS preferred.
• Advanced Linux systems and production hardening.
• Kubernetes clusters management and EKS/Docker.
• Terraform and infrastructure automation expertise.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus).

Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement GitOps with Flux or Argo CD.
• Manage KaaS platforms with multi-cluster lifecycle.
• Optimize cloud networking and load balancing.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate provisioning with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Write and maintain IaC and config-as-code with Terraform.
• Monitor performance, cost, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and documentation.
