Rocket is seeking a Staff Data Infrastructure Engineer to shape the future of enterprise data infrastructure across Rocket and affiliated platforms. Qualifications
- 10+ years in systems/data infrastructure or related roles.
- Expert-level AWS experience in enterprise patterns.
- Deep understanding of databases, warehouses and data platforms.
- Experience migrating on-premises environments to cloud.
- Strong observability, monitoring and incident response knowledge.
- Experience with security, compliance, risk and audit in enterprise settings.
- Ability to explain complex findings to technical and executive audiences.
Responsibilities
- Partner with program leadership to assess and modernize enterprise data infrastructure.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture reviews, migration readiness, and risk assessments.
- Define technical roadmaps to improve reliability, security, and scalability.
- Support migrations from on‑prem to AWS and Snowflake across platforms.
- Establish standards for monitoring, backup, access controls and production support.
- Provide senior technical judgment and mentorship to teams.
