Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Consultant for Mainframe Modernization to support high-impact modernization projects. You will help deploy fit-for-purpose workloads in hybrid cloud, evolve monolithic apps into cloud-native microservices, and promote enterprise DevOps practices across delivery teams.

The role requires deep technical expertise and hands-on project experience across infrastructure, application, and process modernization, with a focus on delivering faster outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Excellent communication / customer service skills.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and/or maintenance.
• Analytical mind set to analyze test results and defect resolution.
• Organized and methodical, handling multiple tasks.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex project scope with minimal direction from Customer/SI representatives.
• Contribute to design for specific deliverables and assist deployment of Rocket products.
• Implement new solutions under Delivery Architects' direction.
• Engage in technical forums within the Rocket Enterprise Suite environment.
• Apply subject matter knowledge to solve common technical issues.
• Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures.
