The Hartford is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions for Employer Group Actuarial Services. You will leverage AI, cloud-native data services, and CICD tooling to accelerate insights, with opportunities to lead and mentor teams in a hybrid or remote work setup.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in data engineering, strong Python/R skills, Snowflake and Oracle experience, and a proven track record in data warehousing for insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of applicable work experience.
• Experience in Snowflake, IDMC, Informatica, and Oracle.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted engineering tools, Snowflake Cortex, Agentic AI, MCP, cloud AI services, and automation.
• Experience building AI-powered analytics, data catalogs, reconciliations, or knowledge management.
• Proven ability to work with CICD, GitHub, Autosys, and SQL.
• Strong data warehouse knowledge, ideally in insurance.
• Experience migrating data pipelines from on-premises to cloud and modernizing them.
• Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Engage with actuarial customers to design scalable data solutions supporting pricing and reserving.
• Prototype and operationalize AI technologies including GenAI, RAG, and MCP-based integrations.
• Lead technical delivery and mentor junior engineers across onshore/offshore teams.
• Develop and maintain ETL/data pipelines for insurance processing and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into reliable solutions.
