Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience building production APIs and backend services.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar Python framework.
• Experience designing and operating microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience writing efficient SQL and troubleshooting data issues.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong API security, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build scalable Python applications using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Design event-driven workflows using Kafka and asynchronous processing.
• Develop reliable integrations with satellite providers and external platforms.
• Create clear API contracts and maintain technical documentation.
• Design data models and work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and BigQuery.
• Build services for device onboarding and operational workflows.
• Improve reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Review code and mentor engineers; participate in architecture discussions.
