Job summary

CrowdStrike is hiring for a back-end engineering role in the Cloud backend team. You will work on authentication/authorization services handling internal and external authN/Z at scale, building and extending services used by CrowdStrike products.

The role is hybrid with 2–3 days on-site at one of our locations, and requires strong distributed systems experience. You will leverage Go, AWS, Kafka, and other modern technologies to process trillions of decisions per day, while mentoring teammates

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years backend development experience.
• Ability to scale backend systems – horizontal scaling common.
• Desire to ship code and see it run in production.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Strong multi-threading, concurrency and parallel processing knowledge.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of engineering best practices from testing to CI/CD.
• Ability to meet commitments and deliver high-quality code.
• Experience using AI technologies to enhance decisions and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend engineering from prototypes to large-scale apps.
• Build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks at global scale.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to define and build features.
• Champion new technologies and raise the team's technical IQ.
• Mentor others and be mentored on web, backend and data storage tech.
• Continuously re-evaluate architecture, models, UX, performance, and stability.
• Own deliverables with accountability.
• Contribute to open-source projects and community.
