Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Principal Engineer, Cloud Systems to drive cloud strategy across public and private platforms. The role leads engineering teams, designs scalable automation, and defines standards for governance, security, and operation excellence.

You will mentor engineers, partner with development teams for cloud-native solutions, and contribute to the Center of Excellence while supporting continuous delivery and resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
• Extensive cloud experience across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• IaC automation with open-source tools.
• Experience with automation scripting (BASH, Python, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Support private/public cloud systems, OS, middleware, storage, databases, and infrastructure products.
• Provide coaching and direction to I&O Engineering team.
• Develop repeatable automation to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Lead and participate in Cloud Center of Excellence and governance standards.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for incidents and on-call rotations.
