Job summary

Surescripts, a leader in health information exchange, seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our IT infrastructure across public and private clouds with a focus on security and reliability.

Join a cross-functional team within Operations and Security to ensure scalable, compliant systems. The role emphasizes automation, disaster recovery planning, and ongoing optimization to support health IT workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, information sciences or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering role.
• Hands-on public cloud implementation/administration.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi and enterprise storage experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of strategic goals and plans for public and private infrastructure, capacity planning, and automation of tasks.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses of infrastructure systems and technology solutions.
• Provide input on system design, feasibility, budgeting and enterprise alignment.
• Improve or replace legacy processes by automating and streamlining.
• Document system configuration and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning (RPO/RTO).
• Design and deploy enterprise management tools and improve security compliance in public and private environments.
• Manage and maintain both public and private (hybrid) infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy methods to test system performance and generate health statistics.
