Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Principal Engineer, Cloud Systems to drive cloud infrastructure strategy across public and private clouds. The role mentors engineers, defines standards, and partners with development teams to enable continuous delivery of new capabilities.

You will lead automation initiatives, maintain governance, and oversee incident escalation while collaborating with a Center of Excellence for cloud usage and development standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix-based and Windows systems.
• Extensive cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven automation scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• IaC experience with automation and open-source tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience identifying repeatable processes and driving automation.

Responsibilities

• Supports private/public cloud systems across infrastructure portfolio.
• Provides coaching and direction to I&O Engineering team.
• Develops automation to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Leads cloud governance and standardization efforts across environments.
