Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect/Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth, security, and cost-efficiency.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with hybrid/multi-cloud, IaC, and cloud security/compliance, plus leadership in architecture and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10+ years.
• 12+ years in cloud architecture, engineering, and operations; 4+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Hybrid/multi-cloud design experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) at enterprise scale.
• Generative AI infrastructure, including RAG pipelines and vector databases, GPU/TPU clusters, and Kubernetes.
• IaC tooling: Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Bicep/ARM, Ansible.
• Enterprise security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, FedRAMP).
• Observability stacks: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Operations, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK.
• Cost optimization, DR/BC planning, encryption, and zero-trust concepts.
• Excellent collaboration across Network, Security, Dev, and Ops teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise technology vision with long-term blueprints and standards.
• Design scalable hybrid cloud architectures using cloud-agnostic tools.
• Architect and manage core cloud networking components (VPCs, VNets, gateways).
• Implement IaC to automate provisioning and config management.
• Enforce cloud security controls and compliance frameworks.
• Optimize cost and utilization via tagging, rightsizing, and Savings Plans.
• Set up monitoring and observability with modern stacks.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud projects and reviews.
