Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly versatile Solution Architect/Engineer with broad expertise in enterprise networks, cloud platforms, and systems engineering. The role combines architectural design with hands-on implementation to guide modernization across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

The candidate will lead architecture teams, craft target-state designs, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise architecture, infrastructure engineering, and cloud solutions.
• Leadership experience as a lead architect with team management.
• Hands-on design and implementation across hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Strong networking background: LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPC/VNet.
• Scripting and IaC: Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Proven documentation: diagrams, runbooks, integration maps, design guides.
• Security/compliance knowledge: SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Architecture team tasks, standups, and status reporting.
• Define target infrastructure architectures across hybrid/multi-clouds and networks.
• Design end-to-end scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized solutions.
• Champion infrastructure modernization and migration strategies.
• Engineer deployments across AWS/Azure, on-prem, virtualization, and containers.
• Architect network solutions: LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers, cloud networking.
• Create architecture diagrams, data flows, integration maps, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, security, and applications teams.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance across platforms.
