HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION (HHSC) in Austin seeks a senior Cloud & AI Platform Engineer (Systems Analyst VII) to design, implement, and operate our AWS-based analytics and AI platform. You will lead cloud engineering, platform reliability, and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and admins to drive scalable solutions.

The role requires extensive Python scripting, Linux administration, and strong knowledge of databases (RDS).

Qualifications

• 6+ years AWS experience and cloud engineering background.
• Hands-on Python scripting for operations and data tasks.
• Experience with Linux administration and production support.
• Ability to design scalable, secure cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own SHARP AWS environment design, configuration, monitoring and cost efficiency.
• Support data pipeline design and implementation for analytics platform.
• Enable AI/ML workloads with secure, scalable cloud foundations.
• Develop automation scripts and operational tooling in Python.
