Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead multi-cloud initiatives in Azure and GCP, focusing on GenAI platforms and enterprise-scale AI workloads.

You will design monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Log Analytics, GCP tools, and Logstash, while ensuring security and regulatory compliance for production environments.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of multi-cloud platform experience (Azure + GCP).
  • 8 years GenAI & enterprise AI platform knowledge (Gemini, Vertex AI).
  • 8 years Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and GCP Cloud Monitoring expertise.
  • 8 years Logstash usage with Azure Log Analytics for monitoring.
  • 8 years designing alerting solutions with Twilio for ETL failures.
  • 8 years Blob Storage, Data Lakes and analytics storage.
  • 8 years hands-on data pipelines and analytics workloads.
  • 8 years Informatica Cloud (IICS) and API integration workstreams.
  • 8 years strong IAM, security, audit logging, FedRAMP/compliance.
  • 8 years support Tier 2/3 issues, production stability.
  • 3 years Tableau Cloud familiarity; 3 years ArcGIS integration.
  • 3 years scripting (Python, Bash) and automation (serverless, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

  • Own cloud computing initiatives and architecture for the organization.
  • Plan and engineer cloud infrastructure and applications across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Support a regulated multi-cloud environment with data/AI platforms and monitoring.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, monitoring, and 24x7 operations.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and system reliability across platforms.
  • Debug production issues, improve platform stability, and drive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, infrastructure, and business teams.

Telework Policy: Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
